Tells the story of two small children going to the dentist with their mom. The children experience the different things dentists do during an exam, including counting and examining teeth, taking x-rays, filling a cavity, and talking about primary teeth that might have been injured/bumped and are now gray. Although the book is illustrated, insets throughout it have photos and questions for kids about their own experiences. The book can help assuage children’s fears about going to the dentist. Limited diversity: the dentist, dental nurse, and children are all White.
