Dental/dental hygiene trainees discuss race, diversity, and treatment costs. (2023)
I was going to say, I think being downtown, I do think we get [a] pretty diverse population. I am from Indiana but I’m from a little farther North, so I’m not as familiar necessarily with all of them, but I would say generally the Eastside they’ll say is more, I don’t know, lower cost of living, and more diverse populations, potentially there are more racial and ethnic minorities. But then we really do have patients from all over. I have a patient who lives in I think the richest county in Indiana, but she’s one of my most financially conservative patients. So, it’s interesting, we do get a wide variety, but I would say, maybe if you want [. . .] that maybe the Eastside is where I think a good amount of my patients might come from, and that’s where there is a good amount of maybe diversity.
