Patients/community members discuss treatment costs and quality of patient care. (2023)
I agree. Same. My mom’s coming from out of the country. So growing up we didn’t have access to certain stuff, but also to the cost. They give you a piece of paper before your services and say, “Hey, it’s $1000.” And then you be like, “Okay, so what’s another option?” You know what I mean? What’s another point of care? Another route of care we can go to. They just give you one option, one price and they have CareCredit, but then CareCredit is not access to dental. So then you’re out of that option. There’s not enough resources, not enough options. There’s not enough time to actually tell you what’s the process if you don’t get this procedure. They’ll tell you the life and death situation. But what is another option? There’s always another option.
